EXPERIENCE:
Teacher: Over twenty five years experience teaching Kindergarten through six grade, and a fifth/sixth Structure class. Q.M.R.P: The Qualified Mental Retardation Professional is directly responsible for the management and coordination of residential services. Primary responsibilities include: ensuring implementation of the IPP for each assigned client, case management for 32 clients, direct involvement in development of behavioral therapy programs with the Psychiatrist and Psychologist. Work cooperatively with Occupational, Physical, Speech and Music Therapist, Doctors, Nurses, and other disciplines to develop an active treatment plan. Direct supervision and hiring of Specialist II's, Program Managers, line supervision of Specialist I's and Direct Care staff assigned. To coordinate, conduct, and document interdisciplinary Team meetings/Staffings, and ARD's for assigned clients. SOCIAL WORK/ELIGIBILITY SPECIALIST: Determined eligibility for clients to receive Income Assistance Benefits using complex policies and procedures within established time frames. Duties included: Interviewing, verification and documentation of case data, home visits, and computer data entry terminal for casework documentation. Adept in oral and written communication, organizing, prioritizing, and reviewing information for completeness discrepancies.
PROGRAM DIRECTOR/ACTIVITES DIRECTOR:
Responsible for programming and planning of the Recreation/Education Department. Direct Supervision of all recreation staff, volunteers, University Students (Fieldwork), and summer workers. Organized and supervised academic programs, one-day trips, daily arts and crafts, special events, daily activity logs, recreation supplies, development of monthly newsletters and calendars.
