I assigned DRG codes and ICD-10 codes. I close charts and verify the charts contain all necessary information from the psychiatrist, nurses, medical physician, social workers with court documents including petition and certification of involuntary patients, intake clinicians, activities documentation, and verification of discharge coordination activities. I respond to requests for records from patients, families, and health providers. I process requests for documentation for insurance audits. I process data for CMS and the Joint Commission. I trained the court representative and the utilization review employee. I took over the utilization review and still completed my coding tasks for my last month at Brightwell.
