• Role: Heading engineering team focused on search based on natural language queries in travel, entertainment, shopping domains. Technical challenges addressed included parsing (short) natural language consumer queries; lexical analysis and entity recognition; domain partitioning; use of a custom-built rule engine to determine likely consumer intent. Work also involved integrating information across third party web services, APIs, RSS feeds; researching right algorithms through proof of concept and mainstreaming these into the product.
