In this role I continuously collaborate across organizational boundaries. I partner with leaders to build relationships, work as a team member in order to provide the greatest care for the cliental we serve. I complete regular checks on each client to assure the safest environment possible. I lead groups and activities as assigned providing positive behavior support. Some of the groups I have had the opportunity to lead focused on: Self-esteem and assurance., making connections, choices, fairness, relaxation, music and movement, positivity, and responsibility. ChildServe Group Home Supervisor (Aug. 2006- Sept. 2020)

In this role my responsibility was to partner with families, who have children with special health care needs to live a great life. One of my main responsibilities was to collaborate with each resident’s ID team members and family in order to develop an individual care plan. I wrote goals with objectives to assist each resident in building on their skills in order to maximize their level of independence. I provided positive behavior support and lead by example. I continuously collaborated across organizational boundaries and partnered with other leaders to build relationships and work as a team to continue to take every opportunity to improve and provide the greatest care, for the residents we served. Other responsibilities include ensuring the adherence of company policies and procedures as well as DIA regulations. I was responsible for the overall safe management of the group home. Tasks included: hiring, staffing, educational oversight, monitoring programmatic implementation, assuring documentation accuracy, compliance reporting, inventory management, and transporting residents to appointments. I worked within a team problem collaborating and solving issues as they arose, supporting each other with scheduling and on call responsibilities.

Resident Assistant (June. 2006- Sept. 2020) My responsibilities in this role were to demonstrate and assist individuals with basic cooking skills and making purchases.

My responsibilities included providing extra assistance to students with special needs, individually or in small groups. I supported them as they worked toward completing assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers. I worked with students on developing social skills and as a job coach in community settings. I was on the Auxiliary team and assisted in planning and preparation for special events and activities such as Special Olympics, School dances, Student/teacher competitions, sporting events, and outings. I lead the Pep Squad and supported the students in community performances. I also supervised students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, school yards, and gymnasiums, as well as on field trips.

Bug-A-Boo in Home Childcare Owner/ director /accountant (June 1997-Oct. 1998)

My responsibilities included providing a safe, structured atmosphere, with a loving culture for children aging in range from infants through 5th grade. I created and implemented policies and procedures, parent handbooks, and sign in/ out safety measures. I kept accounting records and provided expense reports for families and for small business tax purposes Structure was provided for the infant-3 year old’s, including reading, arts and crafts, creative learning opportunities, as well as bi-weekly outings. Preschool curriculum was provided at individual levels to assist with pre-K needs. I also provided a before and after school program. I used positive behavior support approach with the children in all aspects of daily living skills, homework assignments, and social skills.
