I studied Public Administration because I wanted to break into the Public Service Industry, as I knew it would groom me to progress to important managerial roles. The year 2021 brought about a different road for me as I started my own Business Venture called The Travel Munchies. I bought and sold biscuits from a range of wholesalers however due to the lack of capital and poor marketing strategies, my business had to come to a standstill. It was great having something of my own however once I am back on my feet I’d like to pursue it even further.
In 2022, I began working for a security company known as 20.4 Secure here I ran the operational system of the company .
My duties were as follows:
Contributions towards budgets and organisational plans.
Identifying quality control issues and providing solutions.
Implementation of strategies for various departments.
Hiring and training of security personnel,which was essential as we were part of the law and it’s a requirement to employ people with strong skills and abilities to carry out tasks such as night shift training that was vital.
Creating security policies and procedures.
I’ve conducted regular security checks and inspections.
Writing comprehensive security reports (incidents occurred on site)
Preparing surveillance equipment maintenance schedules and facilitating repairs in a timely manner.
My overall experience as a manager is to be successful in this role, I am a thoughtful leader and decision maker while helping other’s develop their skills and ensuring our profits are on the rise.
