Project Description

Mohammad was hired as a contractor to support a Pharos Pull Printing project for RBC. The mandate was multi-phased and it involved 1st; the upgrading of physical infrastructure by deploying a new printer and adding a card reader to any acceptable printers; the 2nd phase was to load both MyPrint & Pharos pullprinting software and check for acceptance; the 3rd phase was working with the end users to push to the printer. They were able to validate if they could access the printers for "pull-printing” utilizing the MyPrint application.

Cultural Environment

In the beginning, Mohammad was able to communicate with the team and get to know the various roles. Mohammad requested an explanation of his tasks before he started anything to ensure he could fully meet the mandate.

Job Duties & Technologies

Mohammad was given the responsibility during all 3 phases. Deployment of hardware, installation of software and acceptance troubleshooting as well as providing end user support once the application was deployed.

Technical Performance & Ability

His technical performance was an 8.5/10. He was able to go above and beyond, but sometime he gets side tracked a little bit by trying to create additional efficiencies.

Non-Technical Skills

He is a bit shy and does share his opinion at times but not all the time. He has good communication skills but just needs to come out of his shell a little to improve in this area. No concerns however.

Strengths & Areas for Improvement

If Mohammad understands his mandate, he excelled. An area of improvement is just solely staying on task. The challenge he faced at RBC wasn’t his fault due to access issues but we felt like he got pulled off task sometimes trying to help too many people.

Attendance & Reliability

His attendance was great, no issues. He knows how to prioritize his time with work and family. He gave notice when needed if he was going to be late or scheduled a time that he would be out of the office.

Rehire Eligibility

Yes, absolutely for a similar project like this. Mohammad is a good resource and I’d definitely use him again.

Project Description

He has worked on several projects with us and they were all done for telecommunication companies. Most of the work Jeff did was cabling and fiber optic related. Additionally he did structure cabling installation for commercial and large retail spaces; this usually consisted of cat5 or cat6 cooper cabling. Furthermore the most recent project that he did for our company was a fiber to the suite project for a high rise apartment building in Saskatchewan.

Cultural Environment

Jeff was on a contract basis he was either by himself or with a team of 3 people. In his last project with our company he was doing fiber optic installation for a large apartment building in Saskatchewan. He was one of the lead technicians on this project and was looking after 5 other technicians that were working on the team with him.

Job Duties & Technologies

He was responsible for cabling installation and repair and molding in apartment buildings and retail stores. He also was terminating and testing all the cable that he installed or repaired on a daily basis.

Technical Performance & Ability

Jeff was one of the best resources I have ever worked with. I really liked when Jeff worked with us because he was very personable and would always get along with any of the customers of colleagues that he worked with on a weekly basis.

Non-Technical Skills

He is a very personable guy and got along with the team very easily. I would say that this is one of his strong suits; he was always smiling and loved working in a team atmosphere environment.

Strengths & Areas for Improvement

His biggest strength is definitely his incredible personality. He would never come into work with a bad attitude, everyone that he worked with always loved being on projects with Jeff.

Attendance & Reliability

I never had a problem in this regard; he would always show up on time and didn't mind staying a few hours later to complete a task. I really liked his commitment to the project that he was working on. He would sometimes work on the weekends or stay 3-5 hours later when we needed him. Furthermore if it was his day off and we needed him he would come and help the team out in order to not fall behind on the project.

Rehire Eligibility

Yes If I had the work for him I would bring him back on as a contract. He was one of the best contracting resources that I have worked with in the past couple years.

Additional Comments

He has done it for more than 10 years he would be a perfect fit for this opportunity. When he worked with our company he was doing cat5 and cat6 installation and repair. Additionally he has more than 5 years of experience with fiber optic installation and repair. Lastly on some of the projects he worked by himself so he had to do all the testing of the cat5, cat6, and fiber optic cables.
