Randy has over 21 years experience working for the Contractor in tunnel projects, starting as a miner and progressing to supervising crews for various tunneling operations. This experience gives Randy a broad practical knowledge of the tunneling practice. Randy is currently as Shifter with SKJV, in Indianapolis, IN. Has been working on the Deep Rock Tunnel Project since May 2015. For two and a half years prior to returning to the United States, and beginning work with SKJV, Randy worked as an underground Inspector on the Seymour Capilano Twin Tunnel, with HatchMott MacDonald; North Vancouver, BC, Canada- inspecting the works, producing daily reports and supervising time and materials operations when required.

TBM Support,installing concrete forms, pouring concrete, concrete finishing, drill and blast, shotcreting, installing pipe and placing backfill grout. Layout, load, and tie in rounds of explosives, grouting shaft and tunnel. Completed 10 hour OSHA course, Completed Mine Rescue Training, Received Level II Blasting License.
