Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:

Manage and operate the U.S. Pacific Fleet (USPACFLT) Access Control/Badging Office, ensuring the system is maintained and operational for day-to-day operations. Performs duties as the system administrator for the USPACFLT access control system, Access Control System (AMAG) and transition to the LENEL system:

• Customer Service: Provide positive public relations for individuals requesting access to USPACFLT buildings to included USPACFLT Staff, visitors, foreign visitors, and contractors to facilitate badging and access for both escorted and unescorted.

• Badge Request Processing: Process badge for newly assigned military, civilian, and contractors to included students, volunteers, and visitors. Receive badge request, verify clearance using Defense Information System for Security (DISS).

• Assist Personnel Security Manager when needed: In & Out Processing of personnel assigned to USPACFLT.

• In & Out Security processing of USPACFLT military and civilian members.

• Badge processing: Responsible for the badge and access control data bases. Responsible for adding and removing data cells directly related to the AMAG. As appropriate, issues replacement badges to personnel whose badges have been lost, stolen, inoperable, tattered, disfigured, or damaged.

• Issue and track of Escort Badges signed out by Staff members.

• Track and report Lost Badges.

• Attend exercise planning conferences/meeting to ensure Access Control and Badging Office is meeting the requirements and injects Security policy and mitigation into the planning phase.

• Coordinates USPACFLT badge issuance with exercise planners for Reception, Staging, Onward Movement, and Integration (RSOI) phases of exercises.

• Perform a variety of administrative duties to include but not limited to: managing Access Control Office incoming and outgoing actions and internal projects are completed in a timely manner; assists in updating the vulnerability assessment and physical security plans and procedures for USPACFLT. Utilizes office automation software packages and DOD databases to produce a wide-range of documents, some of which require complex formats, in support of the mission.

• Develops and implements the Access Control Center (ACC) Standard Operating Procedures and ensures all protocols are followed.

• Resolves questionable or difficult clearance issues and/or access requests with staff HQ sponsor.

• Manages Access Control Office budget and coordinates ordering of supplies. Responsible for the availability of supplies, materials, and equipment necessary to conduct visitor control and badging operations.

• Work as a liaison between command staff and LENEL members. Ensure data is captured correctly and correct as needed. Responsible for writing new procedures.
