Proposed construction 1 basement, ground floor, 1st to 4th floor hotel 119 bedrooms 3 stars at Melaka for Bumijaya.

Experiences:

1. Attended the kick-off meeting with Client (Bumijaya) for project briefed and planning. 2. Discussed with the M&E consultant (ABS Technique Consults Sdn Bhd) that Mechanical Services to be designed and supervised by me (Mohd Yusof Bin Rahmad Tulahan), and it to be used for submission to The Instituition of Engineers, Malaysia for Professional Interview (PI).

3. Discussed with the M&E sub-contractors for their company availability and strength to responsible of building construction under Builtron. 4. Discussed with the lift sub-contractor (MY Elevator supply for Shanghai Mitsubishi Elevator) 3 units, 6 stops and 1.0m/s.

5. Heat Load Estimation for Coffee House, Walkway, Reception and Lobby Area at ground floor. Refrigeration Load is 330,000 Btu/hr, Air Flow is 7,300 CFM sa and Velocity 2,000 FPM.

6. Designed the air duct, and coordinated with architectural plan layout, structural elevation and estimated highest ceiling height 2950mm and the lowest is 2800mm. Clearance between soffit beam to the highest ceiling is 900mm for M&E Services installation (electrical cable tray, trunking, ACMV duct, sprinkler and hose reel piping).

7. Obtained main duct sizes thru cross checked the Total Air Flow, Q = 7,300 CFM and Air Velocity, V = 2,000 FPM. Rectangular duct size 2,100mm width x 500mm height, and friction loss = 0.1WG/100ft. Sketched SAD to suit reflected ceiling plan, and select SAD 150 CFM.

8. Discussed with the Mechanical Consultant (ABS Technic) and Air Con supplier

(Carrier/Toshiba) for Heat Load Estimation (HLE), Outdoor Air weather Malacca, room set parameters, Psychrometric Chart, VRF/VRV AHU, Outdoor unit compressor 3 pipes (gas, liquid and hot pipe for water heather in hotel) and duct design. 9. Designed and drawn the air distribution (duct, diffuser and grill) and VRV/VRF piping.

10. Prepared the tender drawings, specifications, bill of quantities and cost estimate. 11. Discussed online thru WhatsApp Group with Carrier Air Conditioning (Malaysia) and ACMV contractor for the Coffee House and Main Lobby heat load estimate E20 and duct design (27.4.2020).

Phase 3B, a Block of Members of Parliament contain a Basement, Ground Floor, 1-4 Floor and Rooftop for M&E Services and a Multipurpose Hall for Parliament, Malaysia. Experiences:

1. Coordinated and supervised work of Mechanical and Electrical services air i.e conditioning and mechanical ventilation, sprinkler system, hose reel system, fire alarm conduit and wiring, lift components installation, electrical and telephone trunking installation, CCTV, card access and coordination with architectural dry wall, wet wall, ceiling etc.

2. Chaired internal discussions and meetings with nominated sub-contractors and sub- contractor (ACMV, Fire Protection, Lift, LV, ELV and ICT) for coordination above ceiling, at ceiling and below ceiling inclusive obtained height of pipes, trunkings and ducts. As the result, CSD (Combined Services Drawing) and RCP (Reflected Ceiling Plan) printed thru AutoCAD 2019 and submitted to JKR to obtain acknowledgement. 3. Made the ceiling’s drawing as based layout, and moved lightings to center by Edit Block in-place. Change colors to use Edit Block, and similar and isolate object to clean the drawing. Move objects in block by Edit Block in-place. Moved objects in between two points. These for making the M&E Reflected Ceiling Plan (RCP) drawing.

4. Prepared Reflected Ceiling Plan (RCP) inclusive ceiling patterns, levels, air con supply air diffuser, return air grills, cassette type air conditioner, sprinkler points and CCTV.

5. Inserted blocks ceiling and lighting into RCP drawings. Exploded some blocks which were unnecessary and erase it to make a clearer RCP (Reflected Ceiling Plan). Software AutoCAD 2019 was used.

6. Coordinated the Mechanical and Electrical services at wall in M&E Control Room for BAS (Building Automation System), Mimic Panel, Lift Control Panel and Lighting Control Panel.

7. Amended locations of Mechanical and Electrical services on the RCP (Reflected Ceiling Plan) as per Interior Designer and Architect comments. 8. Participated in the Project Management (JKR) meeting and answer for Mechanical and Electrical issues, progress and planning.

9. Liaison with Project Management (JKR) for inspection of materials, installation of Mechanical Services and testing of pressure of cold-water piping, sprinkler piping and VRF piping.
