Transported offenders from specified DOC offices in Puget Sound area including work release inmates at the King County Jail to various job sites. Supervised four to ten offenders while completing projects for Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) or the Department of Transportation, always ensuring the safety of offenders. Typical projects included picking up litter, cleaning homeless encampment areas and removing abandoned household items (e.g., refrigerators, stoves) from city property; tracked the amount of solid waste collected; disposed of the waste at SPU transfer stations; reported any illegal hazardous waste sites or abandoned vehicles to SPU. Approved offenders' timesheets: encouraged cooperation among the offenders, Operated Computers (EXCELL, WORD, INTRANET, INTERNET, DOCNET, and E-MAIL) and diffused any potential problems that may have arisen; dismissed disruptive and uncooperative offenders from work crew and submitted written reports on those offenders to their Community Corrections Officer; informed superiors of any potential problems that have occurred with offenders and submitted written reports when needed.
