Work Experience
In Home Caregiver
Self Employed - Elmer, NJ
August 2015 to June 2023
My position as a caregiver started off as basic help working part time and assisting, completing or supervising everyday tasks some of which he couldn’t perform at all such as cleaning the house, doing laundry, running errands, scheduling doctors appts. Also supervising his attempts at other tasks that require recalling his own personal information such as paying bills, filling out applications, navigation of stock investments etc. Approx 4 years ago I became his live in caregiver after a severe injury that occurred at his home which greatly limited his ability to walk and even complete the simplest of tasks. Because of his condition having a traumatic brain injury and Parkinson’s disease his abilities both mentally and physically continue to decline and it is expected that my responsibilities as his caregiver will become more involved as time goes on. Patient has recently passed away. Position has ended.
Relief Manager
Public Storage - New Jersey
November 2015 to October 2016
This position has the same responsibilities as the manager the only difference is my position required me to go to several different locations in the south jersey district per week in order to relieve managers on their days off. Most locations were run solely by one person with the exception of a few larger facilities that may have 2 employees. Responsibilities included: Showing units to customers providing them with all info needed in order to help a customer decide on which type of unit would be needed to store their property including size and or temp control. During the process I would escort a customer to the unit that best suited their needs and also show any other unit they may consider. Each showing followed a full script dialog that I had to learn and would be recited in order to give the information needed and to answer any question a customer might have. It also informed customers of options to add insurance and other amenities they could purchase in order to protect their belongings while stored. Full script dialogue was also used when contacting customers with payment reminder calls and payment delinquency calls. Scripted dialog was also used in order to make sales of packing boxes and packaging materials. I had to prepare a lease which required me to print lease agreements and go over the entire lease along with collecting the first months payment. This position also required me to maintain the property. Including the office, bathrooms, grounds and units themselves. Sweeping, vacuuming, windows, vermin treatments etc and minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, fixing handles and or ordering contractors or outside vendors to repair bigger issues. When opening the office I was required to verify and gather the previous days sales and to make bank deposits. On a monthly basis inventory was taken of all products as well as creating a delinquency list of customers that would eventually be placed at auction if payments were not satisfied. At the beginning and end of each day I was required to do lock checks of the entire property making sure every unit was locked if it was not being accessed by a customer. I was also trained to use a golf cart that allowed us to move around larger properties quicker and efficiently as well as bringing customers to units for a showing. I also collected monthly payments from customers over the phone and in person.

Dispatcher
COPS Monitoring - Williamstown, NJ
April 2006 to December 2007
C.O.P.S Monitering is a company that monitors the majority of North America’s security systems. As a dispatcher my job was to answer any income alarms that are triggered in a timely manner. The majority of alarms were non emergency and required contact with the owner of the home or business and only required a password to disregard. In the event of an emergency I would then dispatch police, fire or ambulance to the location of the alarm.
Picker/Packer Customer Service Rep
Drugstore.com/ DSCM Distributions - Swedesboro, NJ December 2004 to May 2005
I originally started as a pick/packer in the warehouse, filling orders by scanning totes on a conveyor belt and picking products off the shelves. Packing was the final step before I spend six months in that position before applying to a customer service position for the pharmacy department. My jobs included answering phones, resolving customer issues, placing/cancelling orders, answering questions about medications or consulting our onsite pharmacist for more in depth questions. Occasionally I placed outbound calls for customers who had more difficult issues to resolve and was in the beginning steps of learning how to understand and apply insurance to customers accounts. I performed this job up until the department closed. I was offered a position back in the warehouse which I declined because of physical limitations being pregnant at the time.
