Columbia Gas Transmission: (22 years total) 7 Years in measurement and 15 years in R/W department. Expert status in acquiring R/W and damage negotiations (including trees), leasing and finally as project manager. The company designed one person as expert in certain fields. This was used as any person in any of the 13 states have a question about a certain designation and/or needed expert assistance in a very unusual circumstances this expert was contacted. I was nicknamed the fireman because if call was out of the state of Ohio it was probably on fire (as needing an expert to calm and be resolution to a difficult issue). I was the expert to call in acquisitions and damage negotiations. I was the back up expert in leasing. I was project manager toward in of career with this company, handling up to 5 contract land agents per project. 1981-2003

Travel and hours: I have always and will continue to work whatever hours and days it takes to get a project completed, including weekends and holidays. I was ask to do review the work of a r/w contractor in Illinois at the last minute ( I was stationed in Ohio when Nisource purchased Columbia Gas Transmission and Ohio ). Nisource was told I was the best r/w agent to ask to do the review. I drove out the same day. I arrived Thursday evening, woke up Friday, did my research and found only one easement had been aquired out of 17 needed. Nisource ask how fast I could get the remaining 16 easements. Without knowing the area but understanding the need as the contractor that was hired to do the construction work was moving in Monday, I said 7-10 days. 8 days later it was ready for construction. Two landowners were very difficult to find and speak to (one undercover FBI agent and the other a multimillionaire) but was completed on day 8.

Safety: Top priority is to work safe and drive safe. I have had driving classes many years ago and thru Cornerstone and AEP have continued safety training twice a month. In over 40 years of working in the energy area, no tickets, no accidents (except in 1988 a 16 year old kid, first day driving to school ran a stop sign) and no on job injuries (outside the accident just mentioned). This is personal and professional results! Very observant of situations before entering and planning ahead has worked well for my safety and success.

Professional: If you need a professional with expert skills, who can hit the road running, I am your person! Always treat all customers (internal and external) with respect!

Hobbies: Hiking, bowling, antiques and family.
