Duties & Responsibilities

Taking patient vitals: BP, Weight and temperature checks

Assists high care patients with personal care which include bathroom functions, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating.

Provides mobility assistance to patients - including assisting with wheel chair movement & bed changing.

Works with patients with dementia and assists them in all aspects as well as ensure safety and offer emotional support

Assists elderly patients on sleeping positions to avert pressure sores of elderly patients and high care patients

Am part of the team that accompanies patients to special medical facilities for appointments e.g. x-rays, MRI etc

Monitors, reports and documents patient changes in health, behaviour, and needs to Nursing staff

Keeping of patient records and management ensuring confidentiality as well as security of records
