Working the T-Mobile Modernization project…building & engineering

The GSM, UMTS & LTE networks, including DAS, concerning said market. It involved

the correct RFDS configurations, AAV transport issues involving T1 & T3 backhaul

Fiber & copper…as well as quite a number of MW hops and even a few DAS

& repeater configurations.

Site Handler was utilized to fulfill the appropriate milestones.

Oversee all General contractors, as well as all Field CM’s day-to-day progress.

Also assisted the PM’s in getting their deliverables. All aspects of the build was

focused on, i.e.; AAV transport, (all aspects – Fiber, copper, DAS & MW), as well

as tower-top construction.

BLACK & VEATCH – (MNP market) Apr “12” – Oct “12”

• Execution Manager / LTE

In charge of the entire LTE / DAS build for the market, i.e.: SA, Const. & Closeouts.

As the Lead, I utilized my vast knowledge concerning all aspects of

the new LTE technology, i.e.: LEC & CLEC transport, T1 & T3 backhaul,

MW hops, fiber connections, RRU & antenna placement, cabling & alarming.

TEK SYSTEMS INC. – Most of the country… Apr “04” – Apr “12”

Built the network out to include the added 530 1st thru 5th carrier sites, as well

as the multiple LTE-4G builds concerning 2012.

** Specifically concerning the LTE builds, as a PM, we had to be familiar with all aspects

of the new technology, i.e.: transport facets, (fiber, DAS & MW hops), antenna – RRU,

“Squid” placement and the appropriate cabling and alarming configurations.

Continually launching multiple 1st,, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Carrier sites covering both Western PA & Northern WV.

Have successfully launched…all ahead of schedule, the following to date…

(A.) Phase I – 389 UMTS sites in VA. 3 separate markets involving 2 civil vendors, Bechtel & SAI.

(B.) Phase I – 91 UMTS sites in WV. A single civil vendor involved, BPI.

(C.) 30 - 2nd Carrier UMTS sites in Norfolk, VA.

(D.) Successfully turned up 120 IUB circuits in a 2 month span for congestion sites in both VA & WV.

(E.) Currently in the planning stages for Phase II launch of 290 UMTS & 56 2nd Carrier sites for both VA & WV to be launched in 3 separate timeframes in 2009. This will also involve AT&T’s newly formed “Turf” vending system.

(F.) Specific to Ericsson UMTS AND LTE builds: Manage all aspects of Telecom Equipment deployment from: customer relationship, Project POR, Project scheduling, Costs, inventory, and identifying scoping issues to the Ericsson CPM. ASP process adherence, compliance and deliverables. Responsibilities included the following…

• Coordinate equipment deployment with AT&T and any other disciplines that interfaced with the Customer network facilities, Central office and/or Cell site properties and access.

• Direct or complete market level equipment deployment activities including, but not limited to the following: Site survey BOM required, as well as coordination of: Dimensioning engineering documentation Implementation engineering documentation Integration engineering and Data translation documentation CIQ information: ATND, STND, RND TND Coordination and submittal of MOP documentation. Coordination of installation and integration resources. Manages all request and changes to Data translation scripts identify and managing all work required to complete and acquire NTP. NTP hand off to services integration team

• Network equipment deployment problem solving encountered by AT&T.

• Ensure that the agreed implementation schedules and guidelines are followed and enforced.

• Submit daily/weekly/monthly progress reports to the CPM (IM2 or IM3).

• Attend internal coordination and progress meetings…providing updates as needed.

• Ensure that quality of AT&T’s work is within Ericsson standards.

• Maintain a good working relationship with AT&T’s representatives and all disciplines involved in the project.

• Coordinates activities and ensure that all disciplines directly involved in the project are in line with the project goals and objectives.

• Ensure proper records are maintained for all equipment deployed.

• Responsible to maintain all project milestone data in Site Handler, (CASPR).

• Requires knowledge of the following products: 3G UMTS, Power PDU, EPDU. UMTS Node B 3100 series cabinets, BBU power.

• Required an understanding of Core network connectivity (MSN, BSS, DAX- OC3) and RAN network connectivity, i.e.: T1 transport paths concerning the NIU’s. to DAX.

** All of the above AT&T initiated programs involved the following databases, utilized on a daily basis: UTRAN, Oracle, SOLAR, CTS, Granite, CSS, OSS, CASPR, IWOS, Primavera & Siterra, as well as all scoping activities.

· Project Manager / UMTS Command Center / Wisconsin / Cingular / 2005 - 2006

Oversee daily activities concerning all vendor related scopes of work, facilitate daily integrations & oversee the daily functions of the command center for AT&T Wireless’s GSM Integration & UMTS Upgrade for the Wisconsin market of 500+ sites. Utilized SOLAR, ORACLE, CSS, CTS, GRANITE, CASPR & PRIMAVERA, as well as all other databases concerning AT&T Mobility on a daily basis concerning the P.O. & invoicing process. Work Authorization (WA) validations & the true up process. Worked w/ the RF group keeping the RFDS’s up-to-date for the Civil vendors.

· RT2 Integration & Test Lead / 2005: Involved w/ all aspects concerning the turn up process of Ericsson UMTS wireless equipment in a Cell Site environment for Cingular Wireless in the Chicago market.

· E911 Phase II Assurance Lead / 2005: Involved w/ all aspects of turn-up & ongoing testing of the FCC mandated State / County E-911 system in IA., MN., WI. & IL.

· Nortel Wireless Equipment Level IV Lead / 2004: Install / Provision of BSC’s, TCU’s & PCUSN’s for T-Mobile Wireless in both Indiana & Ohio markets.

· Owner / CEO: This was a successful PBX / Computer sales & repair business w/ revenues surpassing $200K in a short 2 year period surrounding a small rural Iowa community. It was successfully sold for a profit.

TELLABS INC. – Chicago, IL. Jan “00” – Aug “01”

· Project Manager / Midwest market: Responsible for overseeing 10 – 15 installation jobs at any one time in a Five (5) state area. Responsible for the successful completion concerning the physical equipment install & dealing with other vendors concerning equipment layout & the necessary documentation, i.e: MOP’s, Scope of work, Etc., as well as safety issues. We were also a liaison between the customer & Tellabs.

· Quality Assurance Manager / Midwest market: Responsible for overseeing all open jobs in a Five (5) state area concerning all safety & Scope of work issues. This included assuring that the install was performed precisely to the customer’s satisfaction, safety standards & documentation by performing on-site audits for every job & suggesting corrections when necessary to meet customer Scope of Work requirements.

· Iowa Communications Network Technician: We maintained the ICN video classrooms concerning the state of Iowa. This involved daily DSO, DS1, DS3 / OC3 assignments for the network. We were also responsible for the integrity of the Fiber Optic “backbone” network throughout the state. My territory covered the northern 1/3 of the state. This involved approx. 120+ schools, Post Offices & Libraries.
