Improvements to Sergio Cuevas Filtration Plant ($29.8MM)

Provide engineering support to the project team in charge of the improvements to this main potable water filtration plant.

Project Coordinator: Puerto Rico Infrastructure Financing Authority, San Juan, PR (December 2004 to march 2007)

Potable Water Transmission Line Guaynabo-Caguas-Gurabo-Juncos ($86.2MM)

Coordination and supervision of daily construction work. Responsible to review change orders and certifications, and prepare request for information. Responsible to lead weekly progress meetings with contractors and prepare project reports.

CP Projects (July 2004 to December 2004)

Responsible for compliance with federal and local environmental, health and safety regulations in the construction site for a total of ten different projects. Prepare safety reports in accordance to project visits. Provide assistance and guidance to project engineers on day to day safety performance.

Responsibilities included developing and implementing safety and health plans. Prepared all hazard analysis activities and carry out inspections at the construction site to assure the compliance with health regulations and safety program. In charge of inspection reports addressed to the project manager. Provided support to the project engineer and corrected hazardous conditions in the project site. Responsibilities also included training all employees, conducting weekly safety meetings and bi-weekly safety meetings for supervisors. Safety Manager: Redondo Construction Corp, San Juan, PR (March 1998 to April 2001)

In charge of inspections at all company projects to assure compliance with safety and health regulations for the accident prevention plan. Prepared all accident prevention plans for different projects and safety reports for the company president, project manager, project engineer and project safety officer. Coordinated trainings for the safety officer and engineer. Worked in conjunction with the company’s comptroller in the annual preparation of the equipment, vehicle and property list to be included in the insurance policy. Prepared documents for the insurance company and negotiated the insurance coverage. In charge of follow up with the claims department of the insurance company in handling company claims. This included coordinating with the insurance adjuster the investigation at the accident site and providing all documented evidence as requested.
