Closing Manager for the East and West Coast. Responsibilities included coordination due diligence between buyers’s counsel, lender’s counsel, buyer and lenders. Reviewed all closing documentation, franchising requirements, as well as prepare all closing documents for both SBA and conventional loans, including notes, mortgages, UCCs. settlement statements and various other documents, Responsible for accuracy of closing numbers and disbursements.
1998 TO 2000 CLOSING COORDINATOR - SUMMIT MORTGAGE
Implemented the Closing Coordinator position for Summit Mortgage and trained their closers on how to read title insurance commitments, prepare closing numbers, instructions and packages so the company no longer needed an attorney firm to review and prepare the loan for closing. Signing authority for checks and wires to fund the loans. Worked as a Closing Coordinator until Summit Bank became Fleet Bank and operations were moved to Rhode Island.
1995 TO 1998 LOAN OFFICER AND PROCESSOR ASSISTANT - CLOSING COORDINATOR
Started as a Loan Officer Assistant in mortgage sales taking application, visiting Realtors and coordinating the items needed to fully complete a mortgage application. Extended my duties by acting as a Processor Assistant to better assist a very successful Loan officer with a extensive pipeline in obtaining all necessary documentation, running credit report, scheduling appraisals and following up on missing items needed in order to have a complete package for underwriting submission. After some time at this position I moved to the closing department assuming all the responsibilities of a mortgage closer.
