Dear Hiring Manager:

My name is Travis Hyde and after reviewing the job description for Executive Chef at Littleton’s Market I immediately knew I was the perfect person for this position. I have more than 8 years as a business owner and operator. I managed a multi-facet operation including brink and mortar, food truck and catering. Rated yearly as a top 10 food truck in Columbus and a bustling catering business led to creation of my scratch, locally sourcing Southern inspired kitchen that operated until Covid.

Prior to my years as a business owner I was a highly touted chef in Columbus. I helped create the entire concept of ELLA which is an acronym for Eat.Local.Love.Art. sourcing as much of our food products from local growers as possible and creating artful presentations and methods to provide the best dining experience possible. We had local artists works adorning all our walls and changed our menu at least 5 times a year and created daily and weekly specials based from seasonally available ingredients. I found, created, and harbored relationships with farmers and local food artisans to showcase their items with our culinary expertise. Again a scratch kitchen with chefs at the helm of every station.

Z Cucina di Spirito was another amazing experience stepping into the helm of an already exceptional restaurant, I took it to the next level and into a top 20 and then a top 10 with in my tenure there as Executive Chef. Grew relationships with local dairy suppliers and chicken growers. Mastered running the financials for a small business and making us successful, profitable and a happy workplace.

I have been featured in numerous publications from The Columbus Dispatch, Restaurant Hospitality, Weekender, Columbus Alive, Grumpy Gourmet. My accolades got me a standing role on “Chefs in the City” series for WOSU. Voted into BCA(Best Chefs America) by other professional chefs in Columbus.
