Role responsibility: Strategy integration of senior management directives to successfully improve Financial statement integrity and meet cost reduction targets. Controller Function:

Designed, constructed, and managed 3 diverse and globally dispersed controller teams of 25. Financial statement account ownership and management of $2.5 billion spend base. Management P&L reporting to senior business and executive heads.

Globally centralized and managed Brokerage, Exchange fee, Regulatory, Safekeeping, Custody & Clearing spend for Capital Markets including vendor management, allocation model development and invoice reconciliation.

Forecasting and budgeting, monthly GL processes, KPI metric & variance analytics, regulatory and compliance reporting. Key stakeholder in RCSA, TARP Certification & Procurement global projects.

Global Program Management & Knowledge Transformation

Defined and executed multiple project statements of work for large scale global functions migrations (500+ FTE). This involved the migration and integration of functional requirements for Finance, Settlements, Market Data services, management information reporting, Accounting, Trade reconciliation, Procurement and Invoice processing.

Balance Sheet Control & Risk Mitigation

Delivered on Balance sheet mitigation and account ownership initiatives to strengthen the control framework within finance & operational functions around trade reconciliations and invoice payments to facilitate the firm’s contract and demand efforts.

Mitigation of balance sheet risk & exposure of over $250 million with annual cost avoidances of +$5 million. This involved leveraging, consolidating and protecting Citigroup’s database environments to improve data quality and integrity.

Financial Statement Control & Reporting

Delineated trade capture framework and system mapping requirements to enhance trade data, improve STP flow, augment GL structures and cost center allocations. These initiatives made it feasible for us to employ at a trading desk level, methodologies in our reporting and metrics such as revenue to expense ratios, cost per trade and activity-based costing.
