Summary of experience as a QA/QC Welding Inspector:
• Worked with Client standards and international standards like ASME B 31.1, ASME B31.3 ASME SEC IX, ASME SEC II-part C, API 1104, AP1 620, API 650 & ASME SEC VIII etc.….
• Inspection and maintenance of stationary equipment like heat exchangers, Boilers, Furnaces, Fin fan coolers, vessels, columns, drums, tanks during shut down activities.
• Remarkable experience in welding and inspecting the pipeline
• Ensure satisfactory identification of materials, Proper protection of piping and fitting
• Preparing weld mapping of isometric drawing and dimension and material check of complete spools.
• Check / inspect and supervision of small-bore fabrication to ensure correct materials specification.
• Quality Inspection of Welding Materials & consumables
• Fit-up & welding inspection of piping and support structures
• Check / inspect correct material specification prior to installation to ensure compliance to IFC drawings and applicable standards.
• Preparing the various types of quality control reports and manufacturing record book.
• Visual inspection of welding joints.
• Maintaining Welding electrodes during log sheet & quantity record.
• For ensuring that all critical activities like, NDT, Post Weld heat treatment and Hydro-testing.
• Maintain the preheat temperature is in accordance with WPS
• Reviewing and monitoring the weld summary and, NDT percentage as per standard and specification.
• Preparing a Hydro test package clearance for piping job as per isometric and P &I Ds
• To Inspect Piping& Pipeline in Accordance to Code ASMI B31.3, API 1104 & Client Specifications.
• Monitor all-critical activities like, welding, NDT, PMI and Hydro-testing are according to the Procedure, Quality Inspection Plan and Project Specification.
• Responsible for conduction of WQT (Piping & Plates)
• Follow the safety procedure and regulation for the work place. Responsibilities as a QA/QC welding inspector:
• Checking & monitoring welding activities before, during and after welding
• Review of WPS and PQR as per project specification
• To follow all quality control procedure, inspection and test plan
• Stage inspections and final visual inspections with client inspector
• Prepare RFI request and summit client.
• Verification of punch list after rectification.
• Coordination to third party & Client inspector.
• Coordination with the NDT/ PWHT crew.
• Evaluation of pre & post weld heat treatment (PWHT) charts.
• Inspection of PMI and Material verification.
• Preparation of welding consumable summary and submitting to client / A.I.
• Monitoring all inspection and testing equipment to ensure valid calibration.
