This includes 32 years of Full Time Employment with E-Technologies Group, Compass Engineering Group, Armor Metal Group, Jedson Engineering, Parsytec, Gem City Engineering, Wright Industries, Fairfield Engineering Company, and Babcock & Wilcox Company. Also 7 years of Contract Employment with HDT Global, L3 Harris, Grote Industries, Navistar, Electrol Systems, Dematic, and Addison/McKee. Experienced Process Controls Engineer. Experienced with RSLogix500 & Studio 5000, PanelBuilder, FactoryTalk View, Siemens STEP7 Development Software.

SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE:

ASD {3/2023 – 4/2023} CONTROLS ENGINEER

Initially assigned to create Schematic Drawings for an Automotive Casting Deburring Cell. The Schematic Drawings were created using AutoCAD.

BELCAN/HDT GLOBAL {3/2022 – 2/2023} ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Initially assigned to create Schematic Drawings for a large DOD Transporter. The Schematic Drawing must be created using NX Schematics Software which nobody in company had ever used. I took me about 1 week to determine that the software was no installed or not installed properly. It became my responsibility to get the software working. I contacted the company that sold the software to HDT Global and we determined that the software was not installed because it is developed, distributed, and installed by a Canadian Company that was not able to enter the USA because of Covid at the time. Working with the Canadian Company, the local distributor, HDT IT, and other Engineering Personnel, we were able to get the software installed. I continued trying to produce the schematic drawings, but the configuration of the NX Schematic Software was not correct. In June, HDT was able to hire a NX Software expert to finish the configuration of NX Schematics and NX Routing. The first assignment from him was to complete a 75-page questionnaire for NX Schematics and a 36 page questionnaire for NX Electrical Routing. To comply with ITAR Regulations, I had to create a completely independent Training Project with all the scenarios that we would encounter with the real project. Additional tasks were assigned and completed. Last I heard was that training was to be scheduled some time in February.

The real project was a transport system for the DOD. It was divided into 3 major sections. After 2 other engineers from the first section, I was assigned to the 1st Section. The major portion of the 1st Section is manufactured and supplied by another manufacturer. I needed to integrate a APU which consisted of a small diesel-powered generator to produce 208 VAC 3-Phase. The Diesel also ran a Hydraulic Pump, a large Hydraulic Fluid Reservoir. The main manufactured unit also had a PTO Driven Hydraulic Pump. I provided controls that allowed the user to select which Hydraulic Pump to use. Diesel Start/Run/Stop and Emergency Stop Controls, Generator Controls, Network Communications with the Main Unit, and Fault Monitoring. Power Distribution for 208 VAC 3-Phase, 120 VAC 1-Phase, 24 VDC, and 12 VDC. Because the Main Unit was not going to be delivered until April 2023, HDT decided to purchase and older used model of the Main Unit. I had to create a similar electrical integration package for this unit. When I was completing this design, the mechanical group discovered that they would not be able to get the mechanical parts needed to modify the used unit in time so the used unit was canciled.
