• Our research aimed to compare and identify any disparities in cancer incidence and survival rates between St. Lawrence Health and NY State and National averages. Prior studies have demonstrated that rurality tends to contribute to worse patient outcomes in cancer incidence and mortality. Through our research, we wanted to see whether these trends were applicable to St. Lawrence County so as to better identify ways to combat the potential higher risks that the residents of rural St. Lawrence County may face.
