Complete opening duties as are assigned to me which include pressure monitoring in water room, phoenix meter calibration, bleach solution preparation, mix bicarb or acid according to formula, and fill in required information in daily monitoring book

I Set up and operate hemodialysis machine to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure: Before treatment I attach dialyzer and tubing to machine to assemble for use

Before treatment I prime the prescribed dialyzer and lines with saline solution to prepare machine for use

Transport patient to dialysis room and positions patient on lounge chair at hemodialysis machine

I Take and record patient's pre-dialysis weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiration rate.

I take time to explain dialysis procedure and operation of hemodialysis machine to patient before treatment to ease patient’s anxieties

I clean area of access, using antiseptic solution before each treatment with each patient.

During initiation of treatment I connect hemodialysis machine to access in patient's forearm or have nurse connect catheter site to start the blood circulation through dialyzer

I Inspect my equipment settings, including pressures, conductivity, and temperature to ensure conformance to safety standards.

I start blood flow pump at prescribed rate.

Inspect venous and arterial pressures as registered on equipment to ensure pressures are within established limits.

Calculate fluid removal or replacement to be achieved during dialysis procedure.

Monitor patient for adverse reaction and hemodialysis machine for malfunction.

After treatment ends I takes and record patient's post dialysis weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiration rate.

I stock supplies as need in treatment floor

Complete closing duties which includes disinfection of machines (which includes vinegar, heat disinfection, and bleach- only on designated days), complete water log. Work Experience
