I am a freelance Instructional Designer, working remotely. I’m looking for opportunities to design and develop technical training, especially to expedite and enhance employee onboarding and training by designing and developing eLearning and Structured on Job Training. I’ll start by learning about your needs, the training material and processes already in place, and where these items need improvement and the cost to the company if improvement does not take place. Following that I will create a plan, including cost and present it for either approval, so we can move ahead, or rejection.

I have experience with and use ISpring software to develop eLearning courses and modules. Courses developed with ISpring can be uploaded to an LMS or can stand alone on a website. To see courses I have developed with ISpring and parked on my website see either or both of the following; Demo Hand’s Only CPR Course

Some of the background I bring to the table is from volunteer work as opposed to employment. This includes:

The following video was designed and produced for the Sun City Center Emergency Squad to introduce new volunteer dispatchers to the dispatching job and environment in advance of classroom training. It gives them an idea of what happens on the other end of their radio transmissions and better prepares them for the classroom training that immediately follows. Training is held in another building and away from the dispatch office. https://youtu.be/xMqmv4Sx7Gc

The following course is for use by companies who wish to split the task analysis phase of training development into two parts; the first done by an instructional designer with the second Pete Blair – Resume 10-02-22 -- Page 3 of 3

Personal Goal

Instruction design and development related or technical writing projects on a temporary, contract relationship and achievable via telecommuting.

In many cases, companies are faced with either a temporary overload related to training design and development needs or the need for one-time documentation without the need to staff an entire training function. Those are the needs I can and would like the opportunity to fill. My preference is to utilize technology and the telephone to determine scope of work and other necessary communication thus saving use of travel and overnight accommodations for others.
