Assistant property manager (float) weekly assignments (travel throughout Snohomish Co.) for office coverage of regular management’s scheduled days off or PTO. Timely arrival at location for opening process to disable alarms, greet maintenance staff; open safe, access day’s deposit and cash for till; start computer/office equipment, run various daily reports; review phone and email messages. Day’s duties: answer all phone calls and email messages; rent storage spaces, and schedule use of “free” moving van, as needed, for furniture, appliances, and other large items going into storage; suggest various box sizes available for packing/storing items; complete collection calls; and inventory available versus occupied space sizes. Closing procedures involved compiling, printing and emailing day’s income totals to CEO of Advance; balance till then prepare deposit for next day; secure all funds in office safe; turn off computer/office machines and lights; set alarm, lock doors. Most storage facilities offered U-Haul rentals of vans and trailers to pick-up and drop-off at their business. Coordinated reservations and rented vehicles plus received return vehicles from customers. One location had Penske truck rentals and the remaining storage locations had a “free truck with unit rental” offer to help customers move into the storage space. Position changed in Early 2015 from assistant manager (float) to CEO personal assistant (at headquarters). After 3 mos., I accepted work elsewhere and obtained a job as a credentialing specialist with a construction contracting company for six months, which ended in a lay-off due to corporate restructuring.
