I have an extensive community and stakeholders’ relations capacities working for a multinational oil and gas company, Chevron Nigeria Limited, operating from the Niger Delta Regions of Nigeria. For over 10 years, I managed the community and stakeholders’ relations issues/programs for Chevron Nigeria Limited working with over 250 communities from eight (8) ethnic nationalities, NGOs, and government stakeholders. I managed the company’s agreements with various stakeholders (the global memorandum of understanding and the offshore memorandum of understanding with the stake-holding communities), the development and implementation of social investments programs within the communities while securing social license for the company and its contractors to operate.

I handled community and government affairs relations functions for the company advocating the company’s programs and positions to key Community leaders, federal and State government stakeholders, thus ensuring Communities actions and government policies do not adversely harm the company’s operations. I represented the company at various Communities, stakeholders, and legislative engagements, ensuring company’s views and positions are heard and considered on issues that are likely to adversely affect the company. As a member of the emergency response team, I ensured that all events got the right community and government stakeholder participation and attention (example-KS Endeavour Rig and Ojumole well 1 fire incidences, 2020 and 2021). I ensured that all required approvals were secured in a timely way for the company’s project to progress. I also handled the department’s strategy and planning programs, ensuring that all corporate programs are addressed timely.

I am highly adept at handling various responsibilities by prioritizing my tasks, establishing clear deadlines; and finding creative solutions to eliminate obstacles. My experience has equipped me with the necessary tools to succeed in the subject position.
