Connected researchers to grassroots community organizations to foster trustworthiness and accurate information and increase continual representation of unrepresented populations in research studies. Develop and administer community health improvement grant proposals for community-based organizations to address health disparities, significantly for conditions influenced and impacted by COVID-19. Provided oversight in the activation of the funding proposals. Lead in recruiting community consultation studio participants that connect Duke researchers to community members for feedback based on their lived experiences that help shape research design and address research from a health equity lens. Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for AACT+ members that seek funding proposals, build-out stakeholders, plan community outreach initiatives and allocate resources from partnering organizations.
