I am a highly self-motivated, focused and innovative Mechanical Technician with a vast experience in the mining industry of over 18 years. Organized detailed mechanical technician, able to initiate, technically and results oriented, easy to work in a group and as a group, easy to learn new challenges. Conversant with various mechanical servicing, maintenance and repair technique and systems. Computer literate. Capable of reading/interpreting and understanding mechanical drawings and tolerances. Ability to work long hours, team player, quick learner with strong sense of responsibility, and ability to improve my career through further training and technical exposure, and I’m Self-motivated, starter, driven, results and production orientated, ability to work under supervision, shift work and independently, pays particular attention to safety targets and efficiency.
I have a passion for learning and developing new and existing skills, and I enjoy problem solving using established analytical methods and mechanical engineering principles. Main duties performed:
• Employed by KCM- Nkana- worked as an Artisan Fitter in the Reverberatory furnaces (Smelter)

• Conveyor belts and chain conveyor maintenances/fitting raw pumps from the pump house maintenances on the following Equipments;-
• Gear boxes i.e. cu 800, cu 600, cu 400
• Jaw crushers
• Services area where there are pumps
• Heat exchanging, valves i.e. 3”,4”,6” and 2”gate valves
• Locomotives and slag pots
• Bearing installations done on pulleys and Apron feeders of Telesmith, these are chain conveyor that feeds concentrate in furnaces.
• Maintenance of pumps, cyclone fans, mild mills, variable speed drives and Winches.
• Shift cover and reinforcement man-power in other sections: - CT, handling Plant, converters and anodes if need arises
