As Shop Manager, I was responsible for both hand and power tool maintenance/repair which included hand planes, table saws, band saws, lathes, CNC's, laser cutter and many more. I designed and fabricated all cabinets and display cases in the wood shop, classrooms and throughout school. I curated the end of semester showcase of 400 students (6 years/12 showcases) including the design of the promotional materials and awards. I also designed and fabricated the awards to be given away. I was responsible for workspace upkeep which involved the construction of 25 workbenches. I was also responsible for the supervision of two work study students per semester as well as up to 25 teaching assistants. I maintained a consumable inventory while staying within a given budget. I assisted the department leads with curriculum and the day-to-day operations of the Fine Woodworking Department.
