Course Development Experience

Developing Courses in the Field of Communication (Speech, Interpersonal and Intercultural) for various university/college organizations for delivery to an online student body. Managing the development process beginning with the conception from management for course development through locating course materials then writing tasks, lectures and assessments that can be tracked to the desired level of outcomes. Finally, taking the pilot version and teaching it to a class (or several) to make revisions and changes before final release for faculty to facilitate. In many cases, such as Kaplan with Basic Public Speaking and Virginia College Online, I developed the concept and had full control as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) answering the leadership of the university. My experience developing courses harkens back to having students submit speeches on VHS tapes through current technologies such as YouTube.
