Effective Load Balancer in Cloud Computing at SRM

University, Final Year Project — January 2021

• Developed a backend load balancing algorithm in the final year of undergrad using Core Java Technologies like JVM, JDK, Java Servlet and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP).

• Researched and documented performance metrics of existing load balancing algorithms in a graphical format. Existing Algorithms : Call Join Shortest Queue (CJSQ); Transaction Join Shortest Queue (TJSQ); Transaction Least Work Left (TLWL); Round Robin Load Balancing (RRLB) and First In First Out (FIFO).

• Created a more optimized version of the TLWL algorithm that was 13 % faster with less than 3 % fault tolerance for failed requests.
