Paula Salgado, a gerontologist that has a passion to bring new ideas to communities to help retain caregivers and put in new programming for seniors to be independent. When I opened my own private senior care, I developed a brand-new unique program for people with dementia to help them stay more independent. Dementia patients I had on my program achieved independence. As a Gerontologist, I advocate for seniors on healthy nutrition, and I also would love to see them get the best care possible. For years I have always volunteered at various nursing homes, and I always wanted to be in that field. As a Gerontologist I can also work in advocacy roles and advocate for the seniors.
