LABORATORY SKILLS: Under professional supervision, obtained practical experience operating and performing the necessary quality control on: Siemens Dimension RXL; Sysmex CA 500; Beckman LH 750;and CRI2, I also obtained knowledge to the policy of Universal Pre-cautions when collecting specimens, order of draw and proper procedure for collecting blood in problem situations.
HEMATOLOGY: Completed manual cell counts, white cell and differentials using self-prepared slides, and other manual hematological tests; practiced routine coagulation procedures.
URINALYSIS: Performed physical examination of urine, chemical analysis and microscopic examination of urine sediment.
MICROBIOLOGY: Performed gastro analysis, occult blood testing and influenza A & B testing.
