Reporting to the Discipline Lead Engineer and Discipline Manager.

Sole responsibility for assigned piping supervisor work as per project scope Well conversant with and experience in the application of international design codes and standards such as ASME (ASME B31.3 and B31.8), ASTM, ANSI, API, NACE, Shell DEP etc.

Well conversant with the project scope of work, specifications, project schedule and all inter-discipline coordination.

Including identifying the concerns if any at early stage of the project as practicable and taking appropriate action to address the issues and provide proper resolution. Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of piping engineering design and analysis.

Oil and Gas sector projects. Must have a good understanding of design fundamentals and criteria relating to process flow, safety spacing, Stress Analysis, Piping Materials and operations and maintenance access.

Check and review common Piping engineering deliverables including GA drawings, Isometrics, Tie-in details and Plot Plan with working knowledge.

Preparation of piping material specification, specification and datasheet for valves/specialty item including all necessary information to identify the specification and follow process requirement.

Prepare/review Special Piping Items List, required piping and valve specifications and datasheets.

Prepare and review Piping MTO with respect to Material Requisitions and Project requirements.

Prepare / Review Material Requisitions, Technical Queries and Purchase Requisitions for Piping commodities such as Valves, Piping Bulks and SP Items, etc.

Work with procurement and expediting team, follow-up, and review

Comment vendor docs as per project requirement.

Have deep understanding and applied experience for ASME / API / MSS SP and ISO Design Codes related to piping material international code and standards.

Fully familiar with P&lD, Line List, Equipment Layouts, Piping Specifications, and Design Basis.

Review P&lD with reference to Piping Material and Valve specification and provide mark-up on Master P&lD.

To carry out Piping discipline deliverables activities to ensure that they confirm to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client policies and procedures to ensure all engineering works carried out in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective way, and all engineering deliverables are produced as per project schedule.

Supervise and administer responsibility to plan, arrange, control and schedule work / activities to designers to complete piping engineering deliverables for the project on timely manner.

Provide technical direction and support to the designer and review of Designers producing products related to Piping Engineering.

Analysis recommended technical solutions and developed design documents, calculations report for timely completing of the projects and ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule Interaction, co-ordination with various discipline, team members, clients, management, contractor’s vendors during all stages.

Construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up and assist in providing necessary inputs to complete project deliverables / activities.

Perform drawings verification through single-discipline check / inter-discipline check (IDC).

Attend project review meetings, vendor meetings, engineering meetings, 3D model reviews and site surveys, as required.

Participate in finalizing deliverables lists and deliverables, ensuring compliance with specifications; identify changes to scope and promptly raise change notifications, including providing any necessary supporting documentation and estimates.

Raise technical queries to obtain missing information, clarify work scope and to maintain preferred company procedures, specifications, standards, practices, and operational requirements. PROFILE AT A GLANCE

Direct and align subordinates to work within project schedules according to departmental objectives and guidelines.

Piping supervisory experience in heavy industrial projects such as shipyards, refineries, petro-chemical complexes, power plants, etc.

Conversant with applicable safe working practices, quality & standards.

Ability to manage and control a multi-national workforce.

Ability to effectively interact with project team members, clients, subcontractors, and multinational employees.

Experience of supervising piping construction staff to achieve effective construction execution.

Possess excellent leadership skills and can effectively manage multiple teams of pipe workers.
