WELDING KNOWLEDGEBASE

- Highly skilled using tig welding Stainless Steel, Chrome, and Inconel pipe.

- Ability to weld stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum using mig, tig, and stick.

- Proficiency in the use of oxy/fuel cutting equipment, electric welding machines, and Welding MIG and stick in industrial settings.

- Perform 100% in-process inspection for both automatic and semi-automatic welding processes.

- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.

- Prepare all material surfaces to be welded, ensuring that there is no loose or thick scale, slag, rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matter.

- Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated heights, and sub-zero temperatures.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to determine work procedures.

INSPECTION / REGULATORY / COMPLIANCE

-Attend daily morning safety meetings.

-Help everyone on the project to ensure a “ZERO INJURY” goal is achieved.

-Ensure that no workers stand under suspended loads.

-When offloading pipe tag line are used.

-When working with equipment only one signal person is used.

- Help make sure that everyone is following the approved SWP at all times.

-Ensure bell holes have proper wall sloping, access and egress, and spoil piles are the proper distance from ditch.

-Mitigate risks associated with sub-standard construction activities/practices.

-Act as the primary liaison between the GCC/EPC and TMEC for general issues.

-Work with the GCC/EPC to ensure that the technical requirements of the project are understood and achieved.

-Be aware of line crossings, environmentally sensitive areas, and separation of mainline and drag/bore sections.

-Verification that general and stringing activities conform to applicable drawings, specifications and procedures.

- Keep and maintain a record of daily progress and or issues that cause work activities to stop.

-Verify the numbers of workers and equipment working.

- Verification of correct joint preparation and fit-up before the commencement of welding.

- Daily inspection of work performed by welders.

- Daily parameter checks as per specified code and standard.

- Visually inspect welds and spools for quality according to the scope of work and relevant codes/standards.

- Flag welds for NDE as required by weld matrix/lot. Review radiographic film & NDE reports from the subcontractor.

- Log welding activity as per welding log requirements including NDE percentages, heat numbers, and spool control numbers. Create torque maps, witness all torque ups, and sign off accordingly.

- Map all field welds/tie-in welds and witnessed 100% of welding as required.

- Create isometric and P&ID redlines as changes are made in the field or as discrepancies are discovered.

- Keep a log of all issues (safety, quality, compliance, etc.) that are submitted on each project through verbal communication, inspection forms, reports, etc.

- Follow company procedures, health safety guidelines, and equipment inspection schedules.

- Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using a micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments.

- Comply with the timely completion of the project ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with the plans, specifications, and local codes.

EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS / MAINTENANCE

- Equipment operated: Sideboom on tie-ins, backfill with the dozer, and excavator.

- Dismantle and overhaul machinery and repair equipment.

- Familiar with all equipment operations with the ability to identify and resolve issues under minimal supervision demonstrating sound judgment and integrity.

OILFIELD GENERAL KNOWLEDGEBASE

- Excellent technical and mechanical aptitudes including strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

- Quickly respond to queries and resolve any technical barriers to completion.
