Patrol and secure hospital grounds, buildings and surrounding areas to insure safe surroundings. I observe and report any activities outside of the normal routines. Document all daily incidences in a daily log. Produce incident reports when required using Microsoft Word and Excel. I am CPI and CPR qualified. I also have handcuff and Taser training for incidents with more assertive force needed. We allow access to the hospital with computer-based monitoring systems and use the radio daily to communicate multiple situations. We are consistently being trained and tested in all of the safety and emergency policies within the hospital. Most drills are performed monthly, and few are performed daily. Oversee active drills and make sure everything is done according to set protocol from our safety committee. Monthly fire extinguisher and code blue pole checks. I have also been called upon to be the lead for the shift at least 8 times a month.
