Accomplished International Finance Director CFO Controller with significant experience that spans over 2 decades including, but not limited to; Monthly and Annual Financial Reporting, Tax Management, budgets and cash flow, corporate recovery, change management, process mapping and ERP Implementation, financial analysis in addition to business review at country, industry, and business unit levels across a wide range of industrial sectors. From small to large organisations. Management of Procurement Function in Oil and Gas Sector. Sitting as Chairman of Tender Boards. Global Financial Reporting including UK AIM with Lekoil, Canadian TSX with Addax Petroleum and US Listed NYSE with Bristow Helicopters.

July 2018 to July 2019: Subcontract to BIE as Regional Controller Lekoil West Africa UK

Lekoil is an Aim Listed exploration and production company with assets in Nigeria and Namibia, revenues around $50 million pa around 800 staff/ contractors 15 in Finance.

Handled complex JV negotiations with JV Partner on only producing asset. On commencing, the JV was almost at a stand-still and possible breach of contract. I negotiated with the 2 parties and resolved the problems and contributed towards a $15million saving and a significant amount of time which was expected to conclude the negotiations.

Put In charge of the Finance Team of Lekoil & Gas Limited (LOG) in London and Nigeria, which was under performing. LOG is listed on London AIM.

Improved Month End close from 15 to 8 days Developed ERP X3 to achieve this objective

Completed 2018 Half Year Financial Statements and 2019 Budget.

Completed 2018 Financial Statements to AIM. Implemented new IFRS in the Financial Statements.

2017/8: Tate Petroleum Limited Chief Financial Officer UK (part-time role D J Howe Limited)

In charge of the Finance Portfolio of Oil & Gas interests in West Africa, reporting at CEO level to Head Office in London.

Successfully raised $100m for 2 Nigerian Oil Licences, with further credit lines for future well development plans.

Negotiated Loan with Shell Trading and Offtake Agreement

Supplied financial guidance and advice on international tax structures across international borders.

Set up Financial Reporting from scratch. Planned to use Sage ERP X 3.

2016-2017: MD CFO: Essel Group ME JV Simba Energy Canada and Gensource Canada UK Canada PAYE

Essel Group is a diverse group of companies operating across many markets

Set up Company from scratch in UK, with all UK Reporting

In charge of the financial portfolio of Oil, Gas and Mining interests across Canada, Kenya, Chad, Liberia, and Guinea, reporting at CEO level to Head Office in Dubai and listing responsibilities on the Canadian TSX V exchange.

Successfully raised $350m for Kenyan Oil Licence and introduced a technical partner to farm into the asset.

Managed acquisition of a Potash Mine in Canada in addition to coordinating the creation of a JV for a $200 million investment for a 250,000 ton mine with potential 1million to extension capability and 3 additional licenses.

The JV was with Gensource who are listed on the Canadian TSX, and the Project is called Vanguard which generated approximately $50 million EBITDA by 2019/20 while Gensource cancelled the JV as of 30 September 2017 as Essel did not provide any funding. Using SAGE ERP X3 and Canadian Reporting Software for Canadian TSX.

Supplied financial guidance and advice on international tax structures across international borders.

2014-2015: CFO Brittania U Lagos

oInvestigated the Complex Bank Transactions for the 3 Principal lenders to the business following a complaint by the Banks. Identified fraudulent transactions that had been instigated by a Bank Officer.

oWorked in conjunction with Nigerian government which included coordinating crude oil marketing, raising financial capital for new ventures in shallow off and onshore regions also pre-wrote Corporate Governance Policy to meet the standards of Chevron, Nigeria also produced IFRS Financial Statements and improved balance sheet by $12m, recasting previous FS to incorporate the deterioration of the Naira and decline in oil prices.

oManaged re-financing with $100m enabling survival of the company due to oil price decline.

oDelivered $12 million balance sheet improvement implementing improved systems and procedures.

oManaged the successful re-negotiation of sole risk shallow water operations with Chevron.

oDevised and introduced new procedures manual in conjunction with PWC Consultants.

oSupply Chain and Procurement Function Management

2013-2014: CFO Ladol Integrated Logistics FZE Lagos

Ladol is a fully integrated hub for the oil and gas industry offering base facilities for heavy construction Led the financing of JV build of an integrated quay for Total Engina FPSO project which enabled Nigerian Content of 6 modules topside and FPSO integration.

oPrepared and delivered road show for 16 financial institutions raising $500m re-financing.

oDelivered commercial objectives as part of a JV with Samsung Heavy Industries supplying a Korean built Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO) part of $3.5bn project.

oSourced above target, $500m, through investor presentations at international road shows.

oReported to Nigerian and South Korean Stock Exchange

2008-2011: CFO ERP Project Manager Pan Ocean Oil Corporation

Pan Ocean is an oil and gas exploration and production company with 1,200 employees and turnover of $1.25 billion.

Managed all accounting, budgeting, tender boards, contracts, tax planning, and cost recovery management functions. Developed audit and corporate finance strategies, mentored finance team members, and improved relationships with Nigerian government officials and joint venture partners.

oEarned the designation of Employee of the Year in 2009 for the implementation of the company’s ERP solution, as well as for retraining 100% of the finance and commercial teams.

oActed as project and change manager for the company’s procurement of a Sun Systems and INFOR EAM asset management system, procuring $125 million for PSC Phase 1 and 2 drilling project financing and delivering all aspects of the project both on time and on budget.
