I started T&A as a delivery driver, where once a week every week, I would deliver to surrounding areas such as Moses Lake, Wenatchee, Tri-Cities and areas in between, and I also drove in town.
It gave me the opportunity to interact with customers and also problem solve when they arose. I drove a 26,000 GVW Vehicle to deliver these items. When I didn’t have a delivery day I would check in and put away freight when it came in and I would also clean and organize the warehouse, and showroom.
About 6 years of doing this, I had the opportunity to move to Assistant Manager where I learned to do phone sales and talk to customers on a daily basis where I also thrived. I had customers who would come in and specially ask for me because they knew what kind of service they would receive.
I very much enjoyed talking with people on the phone because I felt the in person and phone sales was where my customer service skills thrived. I made sure to give that all around, I just loved doing it all. For the last 8 years of my employment with the company, I was moved to manager which I excelled even more with taking on more responsibilities and also making sure my assistant knew products and knowledge that he needed to know. I very much enjoyed working for this company but unfortunately due to COVID, my sales were not the same and corporate decided to shut down my branch.
