(Twin Lakes Apartments)

The Twin Lakes Apartments is a 230 unit, two building, six-acre multifamily project in Cary, NC. With a budget of $47M and a build time of 22 months for SunCap Property.

Focus Design Builders - Director of Operations

(Pullen Arts Center)

The Pullen Arts Center project was for the City of Raleigh, Parks and Recreation, it was a remodel and new addition simultaneous, with a budget of $6M.

Alliance Construction - Senior Project Manager

(Morehead Apartments)

The Morehead apartment project is a podium mid-rise 292-unit apartment complex in downtown Charlotte. The project has a basement parking garage, a podium, a mezzanine and six stories of wood framing. This site had an old gas station and textile plant that had to be demoed prior to construction with fuel tank removal soil removal and all the EPA standards. This project was budgeted for $62 million.

(Bryant Park apartments)

The Bryant Park project is 4 buildings with five stories on the front four stories on the back that makes up 364 units with a stand-alone clubhouse and amenity area. This project was constructed on a brown-fill construction site on the outskirts of uptown Charlotte. It was budgeted for $42 million, after construction it was sold for $54 million with a $12 million profit.

GCI Construction - Project Manager

(Legacy - 521 multifamily apartments)

The legacy 521 Apartments was a 254-unit Garden style wood framed apartment complex. They were a 3-4 split walk- up units with post tension slabs and segmental walls. This project had a stand-alone pool and pool house and amenity area with half basketball court, with rooftop entertainment area. This project was budgeted for 32 million.

(Loft- 34th & Davidson Office complex)

The loft 34th and Davison was a mix use office complex with 12 apartments over 24 storefront units below with a parking deck in back.

(Legacy Fort Mill, Multifamily apartments)

The legacy of Fort Mill Apartments was 214-unit garden style walk up wood framed, with a budget of $26 million.

(Legacy of Ballantyne, multifamily apartments.)

The legacy of Ballantyne was a 320-unit Garden style wood framed, with a stand-alone clubhouse budgeted for $36 million.

(The Bayleaf/Wake County Fire Department)

The Bayleaf fire community had a volunteer fire department, Wake County purchased the land to build the community a new fire station. I was tasked with being the project manager and superintendent at the same time, creating temporary facilities for both staff and equipment. After moving everything into temporary facilities on site we demoted the existing fire station, cleaned up existing site and re-constructed the new wake county headquarters fire station. The new fire station was a two-story firehouse, housing 18 firemen, fire chief and office staff full time. The fire station had a fully functional commercial kitchen, with elevator and brass slide fire pole, The main building was constructed out of masonry steel I-beams and lightweight concrete with brick veneer.

(Wells Fargo Bank upfits)

The Wells Fargo bank upfit projects were at a time when Wachovia Bank was merging with Wells Fargo. We did the transformation of 64 banks in the Raleigh area. I was assigned to take the keys and responsibilities from the bank president on a Friday at closing, do the up-fits and renovations to the bank and have it ready to present to the bank president on Monday morning as a new Wells Fargo.

(Millennium one student housing)

The millennium one project was a three-story townhome style student housing project 2 miles away from UNCC, Type-5 wood framed ground up start to finish with clubhouse pool and 850 beds, budgeted for $31 million.

(Piedmont Behavioral Health Center)

The piedmont behavioral health center was A medical facility renovation.

Replacement of the acoustic ceiling, reworked all the exam rooms and reception area, rebuilt the restrooms, repaired all drywall and repainted all wall surfaces.

(Johnson, Allison, Hord law firm)

The Johnson, Allison and Hord law firm was a third-floor renovation of the law office building.

Went in and did a total renovation of the third floor of the law firm, constructing all new office space, building a all-new war room and library. The construction consists of new wall framing out of steel studs, electrical wiring and plumbing, new drywall and paint, new acoustic ceiling, doors, case work, trim and floor covering.

(Haven 49 student housing)

The haven 49 project was a student housing wrap Directly across from UNCC, it wrapped around a six-story parking garage with 332 different units ranging from 1 to 5 bedrooms per unit with a clubhouse and pool. This project is wood framed with elevators a generator trash compactor ‘s. This project was budgeted for $95.3 million.

Edwards construction - Project Manager

(Reams Creak Apartments)

I met the company’s owner when I first moved to Charlotte from Asheville, NC. I was in the process of transitioning when the owner asked if I would be interested in looking at a project coming up that would be in Asheville, NC., being from Asheville I knew the area very well. They had a project called Reams Creek Apartments. It was a carriage style walk-up, Type-5 Wood framed apartment complex with 280 units in it. The budget was $31 million, at this time they handed over to me a big book that they had put together with vendors that they were caring when they had gone to contract on this project. At that time, it was my responsibility as a project manager to do all the buyouts, to create the submittals packet for approval, to get answers for all RFI ‘s, to create a monthly owners report, to monitor the budget for change orders, and to oversee the day-to-day operation of the project timeline and schedule.

(More Lake Office Park)

The More lake office park project was a brick and wood framed mix use two story commercial building, with elevators, there were three buildings with 14 units 28,000sf in each building. Storefront units on the lower half, and office units on the upper half. The budget was 9.5 million.

(Davidson office park)

The Davidson office park project was four commercial buildings with red Iron steel structure metal pan decking, lightweight concrete slabs, steel stud exterior and interior wall Framing, bar truss, rigid insulation and TPO roofing, with Brick veneered, core and shell buildings.

(Anniston subdivision)

The Anniston subdivision project was a residential subdivision new build, with 18 new homes starting from 500K to 1.6 M.
