Gripper Design Project for a Rover:
Designed and fabricated gripper parts for a rover used in 2015 University Rover Challenge representing UTA. Designed the parts and assembly of the gripper using SOLIDWORKS. Fabricated the parts through the process of 3D printing using ABS plastic as a base material. After the fabrication gripper was tested for stress analysis to bear the max load of 10 pounds using the software ANSYS WORKBENCH. Finally parts were reinforced with sheet metals on the weak sections of the parts to make it safe to bear the max load.
