Ensure that each employee involved in hazardous waste management perform his duties in compliance with proper waste handling and management procedure.
Ensure that each employee involve in hazardous management receives proper training.
Provide chemical identification number and labels for hazardous waste containers and items.
Check the chemicals storage PTW’S revalidation daily and check permit validity, and also check MSDS & HCRA present for all chemical storage
Ensure proper Housekeeping inside the chemical storage area and also keep the surrounding area clean and well away from the source of ignition.
Check used by the workers and safe working condition while working with chemical (i.e. mask respirator, gloves, face shields etc.) and proper ventilation as per requirement of the job location.
Ensure eye wash station & spill kits are present near chemical storage and are maintained properly and timely.
Monitor and guide waste segregators in waste skip daily. Ensure all skip have proper labeling. Ensure weekly cleaning of water igloos and water tank.
Check drinking water containers daily if properly sealed, labeled with time and date
Assists in the implementation and maintenance of the company safety and loss prevention program including safe work practice/ safe job procedures and the site Emergency Response Plan.
