Professional Summary

I began my professional career while attending East Coast Aero Tech inspiring to be an airplane mechanic. Although My path did not take me in that direction I did acquire valuable skills in the field of mechanics. I have always enjoyed the challenge of troubleshooting and resolution. I have the ability to work independently as well as with a team. With the recent acquisition of a company I have worked with over the past 15 years and my decision to downsize my personal business, I find myself on the doorstep of a career change. I am looking forward to a new adventure where I can use current skills and hopefully build upon them. WORK EXPERIENCE

Home Fashions Distributors Sales- Independent Contractor Dover, NH 2006-2022 In 2006 I made a change in my career in the area of mechanics. I continued with the skills of sales and customer service. I worked from my home, an office in Dover NH and New York City. While this job did require some traveling it was much less than my previous job and allowed me more time home with my family. My job required me to work with buyers for companies that sold home goods; sheets, towels, blankets etc. This position was gravely affected by COVID as many retail stores scaled down buying products. Last year the company sold and the new owners decided to focus more on the internet sales and not the wholesale portion and eventually my job was eliminated SKILLS:

Extensive knowledge on products in order to educate buyer Build relationship with clients to continue in partnerships as well as build new referrals Organized all meetings by location and product

Balch Lake Marina Owner East Wakefield, NH 2009-2022 In 2009 my wife and I decided to purchase a small marina a mile from our primary home. The marina consisted of boat storage and repair, a small convenience store that had a full deli, ice cream and many other items. The marina also has the lakes only launch and gas. In 2013 we sold our primary home and moved above the business. Over the years we grew a small mom and pop business into a thriving seasonal business. In the Spring of 2022 we had over 150 boat customers we were servicing. Along with the increase in customer base came an increasing lack of privacy. It was a difficult decision but one that we have not regretted. We closed the store and boat storage and repair, continuing with gas and launch services only.

SKILLS:

Time management between two jobs

High level of customer relations

Diagnose, troubleshoot a variety of motors and communicate to customer the analysis of work to be done Detailed pricing and invoicing of work

Hendrix Manufacturing Field Service Technician Salem, Ma 1992-2006 While in college I got a part time job working with this company. Although this was not what I went to school for, my mechanical knowledge I gained while at school transferred over to this company and myself and another classmate stayed with this company after graduation. This position required full time travel which I did for many years. As my family grew it became apparent I needed to find a position closer to home.
