WORK EXPERIENCE:
Deployed at Trane Technologies as a Trainee consultant (Oct 2021-present)
Worked on developing competence for high fidelity motor thermal simulation
Support the team members on determining the fan characteristic curve of a backward curved fan INTERNSHIP:
Intern at Trane technologies in the CFD team for 10 months (Dec2020 – Sept2021)
Worked on Creating a Digital Twin of a PMAC high speed electric motor using Physics based reduced order models built using ANSYS ROM Builder
ANSYS Workbench based tools like Space claim, Meshing, Fluent, Design of Experiments and ROM builder will be used
Was able to establish workflow for digital twin and High fidelity simulations for the PMAC motor
Done a preliminary conjugate heat transfer simulation of the motor PROJECTS
1.High fidelity Motor Thermal simulation of a PMAC electric motor (Oct 2021-present)
Developed a conjugate heat transfer competency involving CFD analysis of a PMAC high speed actively cooled electric motor
Work involved performing simulations to identify the maximum temperature and hot spot locations of critical components
Modeling of insulations and their effect on temperature rise on critical components
Documenting the simulation work and creating a standard work for CFD analysis of a PMAC motor 2. Performance estimation of a free running backward curved fan (oct2021-dec2021)
An airflow study was carried out to determine the performance of a free running backward curved fan
System resistance curve was generated and compared with test results 2.CFD Analysis of a Microchannel heat sink using Nano fluids (M.E.-Thesis) (2020-2021)
Thermal performance characteristics of the Microchannel was analyzed
CuO-H2O Nano fluids at two different volume fraction were used
Single phase and two phase (Eulerian-Eulerian) approach was implemented 3. Fluid Sloshing Simulation Inside a Gear box (2020)
visualized the Lubrication effect of 2 different fluids at 2 immersion levels inside the gear box
Dynamic Meshing, Multiphase model along with UDF were used 4. Simulation of Flow over a Graphics Card (2020)
Study of conjugate heat transfer taking place on the model
Found the Maximum Temperature and Heat transfer coefficient obtained by the processor
Studied the effect of velocity on Temperature and Heat transfer coefficient on the processor and base
Identified the potential hot spot regions on the graphics card model 5. Numerical Simulation of Air Flow over an Ahmed body (2020)
Performed a grid independency test and compared the Lift and Drag values with a standard literature
Studied the effect of y+ on Drag and lift of the body 6. Combustion simulation inside a combustor model (2020)
performed a combustion simulation of methane and air and calculated the mass fraction of different species at the end of the combustion
Added water in fuel and studied the mass fraction of the species at the end of combustion 7.Cyclone separator simulation using Discrete phase modelling(DPM) (2020)
Studied the effect of overall separator efficiency and mass flow rates for different particle sizes and different velocity
Visualized and estimated the pressure drop and Velocities at various locations of the separator
Potential circulation zones were noticed.
8. Solving 2D steady and Transient state heat conduction on a thin Plate using MATLAB (2019)
A 2D plate was created and PDE was solved using Jacobi, Gauss-Seidal and Successive over relaxation(SOR) methods
Both Implicit and Explicit methods were implemented 9. Design and Analysis of Composites for a Drive Shaft (B.E.-final year-2018)
The project was focused on weight reduction and improved natural damping of the PMC material
3 composite material were analyzed in ANSYS and compared with the Steel 10. Design and Fabrication of crank pump (B.E.-third year-2017)
A conventional human hand pump assisted with 4 bar mechanism and lever which reduces the effort for pumping and increases the discharge
