Direct and administer development and planning activities for new construction and renovation projects at City facilities. Coordinates with various trades and/or departments city-wide.

Key Accomplishments:

Acting Deputy Commissioner- Bureau of Architecture, Engineering and Construction Bureau – managed 11 employees for design and renovation services in 435 facilities (100 active projects for 2nd quarter of 2019).

Director of Trades of Facilities – managed 235 tradesmen that maintained and operated 435 buildings (26K work orders a year).

Oversaw the first design-built project of City Hall, with 40% of the furniture was redeployed from local office buildings (98,000 sq. feet).

Led the renovation of the second floor Aldermanic Offices, which included a new stairwell between the 2nd and 3rd floor.

Managed the office renovation of the Departments of Human Resources and Planning in City Hall ($4M).

Oversaw the renovation of Culture Center Dome, including the restoration of the Tiffany art glass in the Preston Bradley Hall dome and installation of a new skylight ($2M).

Developed all new concession guidelines and improved existing concessionaires’ spaces. Developed and coordinated the new real estate database that tracks all lease information from rent increases to lease expirations. Developed the “Under L Parking” Program in cooperation with the City of Chicago Department of Revenue to help alleviate parking congestion in neighborhoods.
