TEACHING EXPERIENCE – ART and SPECIAL EDUCATION

Menta North, Waukegan, Illinois, 2018-2019 school year. I taught Art and monitored Speech, student population included elementary through twenty one year olds and disabilities; learning, behavioral and Autism. This was a part time position.

Evanston Skokie School District 65, Evanston, 2014-2017, Skokie Cooperative, and Niles Township High school. Substitute teacher, teaching all grades, and subjects.

Notre Dame High School for Girls, St. Ferdinand, Chicago 2011-2013: I taught art to all grade levels, the subjects include Drawing, Painting, Printmaking and Photography, at the high school level and K through 8th grades also cover these same subjects excluding Photography and Printmaking. My responsibilities also included planning the art curriculum and planning and purchase of art supplies for both schools. This was a part time position and the school has been liquidated.

Lathrop Academy, (CPS) 2008-2010: My responsibilities include teaching art classes to students from 1st through 8th grade and teaching reading to SPED students. The art students worked in various mediums including drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture. They made drawings and paintings on various surfaces, soft and hard surface sculptures, and two and three dimensional books. Student work exhibited, as space permitted, throughout the school. This was a part time position and the school has been liquidated.

Lake View High School, (CPS) 2005-07; I taught an inclusion and instructional classes to ninth, and tenth grade Algebra students. I also wrote 18 yearly IEP's, participated in and as appropriate led the meetings and followed through with transition and behavior intervention plans.
