PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

After completing my 4-year degree at Western New Mexico University with a Rehabilitation Degree and a minor in Psychology, I have found interest in furthering my career as an Occupational Therapist and later mastering Clinical Mental health. In the meantime, I am seeking to obtain my Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling. I plan on gaining a broader knowledge of mental health and perfecting my understanding, and making a change. Throughout the last 4 years, I’ve gained personal experiences that have benefited me in my career such as working with the elderly, children, and young adults who suffer from permanent disabilities. My interest in psychology is understanding what having a permanent disability is and making sure any person is fit for society and has a life of their own. I also want to understand how the brain affects the physical being naturally, which made me want to dig deeper and apply myself and my personal life and how the effects there have affected me. This degree relates to my immediate goals and long-term professional goals and furthering my degree, and pursuing my education only means perfecting my understanding, and that's allowing me to be a better and more understanding counselor. In the future I see myself making significant changes and that change will turn lives around. That feeling is beautiful for myself and my future families“ Being the example, l reflects the example”. Working with my peers and colleagues, I believe in teamwork. My work ethic is very important to me, I have achieved being noticed by my manager for the overtime hours and excellent work I have put into The Homestead. I make sure to maintain trust between my colleagues, residents, and peers. I believe this is important because you are giving the comfort of knowing you got their back and they got yours. “Value other's feelings and emotions” etc. I am all for TEAMWORK and perfecting myself along any journey of working. I'm currently seeking more Occupational training and hopefully internships in the future. SKILLS
