Sultan Farmers Market Co-Market Manager
As the Farmers Market Manager for Sultan, WA, I held a key leadership role overseeing the
operations and growth of a small farmers market. Working in partnership with the city, we managed
day-to-day activities, including vendor operations, customer satisfaction, and regulatory
compliance. I nurtured relationships with local farmers, artisans, and food producers to curate a
growing market.
2017-2021
Snohomish Farmers Market Board Member at Large
As a Board Member at Large for the farmers market, I played a pivotal role in supporting its growth
and success. I conducted thorough research on special projects aimed at enhancing the market's
offerings, ensuring it remained relevant and attractive to visitors. I worked directly with the
Snohomish WIC staff to promote the benefits of using WIC at the Farmer’s Market. In collaboration
with the library, I coordinated storytime sessions with the children’s librarian to align themes so that
I could advertise POP Club during storytime to attract more visitors and foster community
engagement. Additionally, I successfully secured sponsorships from local businesses, organizations,
and individuals, leveraging their support to further the market's mission. I actively assisted in
organizing and coordinating the market's participation in parades and community events,
contributing to its visibility and community engagement. Furthermore, I prioritized attending
WSFMA Conferences, where I gained valuable insights, established networking connections, and
continued professional development. Through these efforts, I made significant contributions to the
market's growth, community involvement, and long-term sustainability.
2016-2021
Snohomish Farmers Market Kid’s Club Coordinator
As the Kids Club Coordinator for a farmers market, I successfully designed and implemented
engaging activities for children centered around weekly themes. I scaled projects to appropriate
ages, ensuring both entertainment and education. Additionally, I effectively implemented the POP
Club, distributed weekly tokens, and collected valuable data. By creating spreadsheets and
analyzing the data, I gained insights into our target audience and improved our understanding of the
children we served. I needed to be familiar with all of our programs to include SNAP, WIC, and our
matching benefits program, etc. as I was often asked how these programs worked. In 2020, we were
2
funded in part by WSU and we worked in partnership with their programming requirements.
Through these efforts, I fostered a positive and interactive experience, promoting healthy eating
habits and cultivating a connection between children, their families, and the local agricultural
community.
1997-2016
Self-Employed (Ca;ifornia)
I created a company that provided both private and community enrichment programming, called
Happy Scholars. I designed programs that included coordination of many aspects with large-scale
enrollment. Designing layouts in community spaces, organizing content, timing, schedules, purchase
and coordination of large amounts of supplies, program advertisement advanced planning and
working with the public to include families, volunteers, my own employees, city staff (to include
management and elected officials) and all participants, name a few of my responsibilities.
2006-2011
San Ramon Valley Unified School District ( California)
I provided art instruction to the whole school at both Quail Run Elementary (2006) and Creekside
Elementary (2008). Each school housed almost 1000 students per school, with multiple classes in
each grade level from K-5th grade. A demanding and rigorous program was executed as meticulous
plans were designed to create a co-curricular art program to incorporate science, language arts, and
history into each lesson.
2000-2004
Alameda, California
Resilient Floor Covering Pension Fund
I provided front desk duties to include all aspects of customer service and data entry. Working with
