I filled customer grocery orders by running around the whole store to each aisle it requires me to go down to picking the item, by scanning each item into the proper tote bin on the cart. There are several different OSN numbers for the customers names. It could of been an ambient order, chilled, frozen, unknown, MTO, Oversized. There are multiple types of commodities you have to run by and scan for a new order label for that customer. I forgot to mention there is a smaller pick order which is regulated items, and GMD general merchandise deliveries. So the part 1 job of being and OPD associate is called a "Picker" or as they call it "Picking" Part 2 of the OPD associate responsibilities is called "Staging" which is to Prestaging the customers tote orders. Now depending on what type of order it is. There are specific chilled staging coolers, Frozen staging areas and ambient and GMD, oversize, and unknown staging areas as well. For the ambient there is prestaging areas to organize the totes with the correct order OSN numbers. Also there is another role which is called Dispensers now within this role you have to go into your handheld and look at the dispensing screen and see what customer checked into a bay area as soon as that occurs, it will then prompt you to where each tote is located at for that customers order, then you physically pick up each tote and collect each tote that belongs with that order and place it on a dolly and scan each label OSN located on the totes, grab a safety vest and head out the door with that order and locate the bay area where the customer parked, deliver the order to the customer. Now there is also third-party drivers we also have to work with as well as our spark Walmart drivers too. I also look up customer orders on the wismo app if there is ever an issue with their order, answer phone calls when customers check in or have any concerns about there order as well.
