•As a CDC Developer, responsible for systems analysis and development of Web Based API Data Services using C#/VB/ASP .Net 2010 and 2012. Also responsible for systems analysis and development of Web Based report to access these Data Services. Also responsible for supporting all applications that draw data from the CDC application and to provide support for the main CBS order entry application. Responsible for all updates to the CDC Reconciliation process and assist in CDC enhancements. Responsible for updates and maintenance to the automated meta data drive rebuild system developed in Oracle script to rebuild the entire CDC schema from scratch and repopulate the data. I performed enhancement to the SSIS package used to transfer data from CBS, A VMS/RMS data store to CDC, an Oracle 11G system. All compiling and deployment of the .Net applications was performed through the use of TeamCity V9.1.3. NUnit was used for automated unit testing. Oracle database was hosted on a Linux server. These reports were of three classifications, those that were ran locally through in internal application written in Visual Basic 6.0, VB script and VB.net, those that were integrating in to the VIP application externally and those that were run through Business Objects Enterprise server V2.0 and V3.0. I was also responsible for Data integrity testing against the database before any reports were placed into production. These reports were used to produce Contact Letters, Safety 7 Claims, WCB, OHS, Pension Statements and Pension Statistics for both DB and DC pension benefits. The Oracle database was hosted on a Linux server. Was responsible for working with this server to ensure file transfers of import and exported data from the server, for the Oracle and Linux optimization and for upgrades to the Oracle database to support the VIP application. Also involved in migration of reports from Crystal over to SSRS over an MS SQL 2005 platform. Also worked on Data migration from VIP over to SAP with the retirement of the VIP application and migration of custom reporting over to the SAP BOBJ module using Crystal, Xcelsius and BO/BI

•As Pensions Project Manager/Team Lead I was responsible for managing all projects related to the Pensions portion of the VIP Application and any internal Pensions initiatives. I was responsible for tracking all costs and expenditures involved with the projects and responsible for monitoring the external companies work. I was responsible for projecting and calculating the budgets for the current and coming year, evaluating the burn rate of these budgets and informing the Pensions Project Working Committee of any discrepancies and unusual activity. Budgets for this ranged from $250,000 through to $2,000,000.

As Pensions Business/Systems Analyst I was responsible for preparing business opportunity, operational and government mandated requirement specification for changes, corrections and enhancement required by the business. These requirement documents were used by third party vendors to make the required changes to their applications. Also worked on projects to migrate the reporting standards from Crystal 8.5 to Crystal 11 and Oracle 9.0i to 10G.

•As an HRIS Business/Systems Analyst I was responsible for preparing business opportunity, operational and requirement specification for changes, corrections and enhancement required by the business outside of the Pension Department, Safety & Claims, WCB and OHS. This included software update, software support Oracle BRM and business use of a MOSS/SharePoint document management system using Kofax (Ascent) Capture to scan in the physical documents. Integrate IBM FileNet and FileNet API into the SharePoint service to provide enterprise level access to the scanned documents. Translation of data from paper or electronic sources.

•Involved in the ETL process for moving data from VIP over to SAP. This was achieved through a series of SQL scripts to extract the data into csv flat files for conversion into SAP.

CFEMS (Canadian Force Engineering and Management System)

1993 - 2003

A multi-user work order, cost tracking system. This application tracks the costs of doing business for the Construction Engineering section of the Department of National defense. Tracked in the application are Personnel wages, Contract service, Inter-Departmental services and Personnel entitlements. This application is also used to split and report the costs shared with multiple Allies on Canadian Training bases. This application has gone through several revisions and a name change. From V4.X a centralized SQL Server deployment and upgrade method was employed removing the necessity of visiting each base to perform a deployment or upgrade. Worked on the following Versions. CFEMS V 6.x included migrating data from Oracle 8.01, SQL Anywhere 5.0, Excel spreadsheets, MS Access 97.

A multi- user asset accounting system; this application tracked the cost of acquisition of Realty Assets, their cost depreciation over a given time period, cost of enhancements and disposal of the assets. The application was designed to interface with several DND standard applications including CFEMS, RAIS, Aladdin and FMAS. Worked on two versions.

•Worked on an application which tracked the location and cost of Construction Engineering drafting department projects. Costs are track by personnel time and Contracted services. It was designed to interface with the CFEMS database and share relevant information.
