Shamrock operates 3 facilities within Henderson, 1 facility in New Jersey and a newly acquired facility in Fountain Inn, SC. Shamrock is a world supplier of recycled PTFE, better known as Teflon. Newark is the world headquarters for Shamrock.The Industrial Park facility receives the scrap PTFE and prepares the material for irradiation. The Community Drive facility houses 3 electron beams that generate X-Rays to further break down the material. The scrap material is further processed using mills and heat. The third facility processes some of the PTFE with wax which falls under the Combustible Dust Standard. The newest Shamrock facility in SC manufactures specialty dispersions and emulsions.
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the EHS Management System which ensures compliance and promotes a safety culture within each Shamrock facility in the US
Assure compliance with Federal, State, County, and City EHS Agencies, as well as, corporate EHS requirements
As the Radiation Safety Officer, work with the E-Beam Manager to ensure operator safety/training and compliance with the Kentucky regulations regarding machines that emit radiation.
