numerical databases on the characteristics of municipal solid waste incinerator ash. Team member on project to examine the effects of soil physical properties on water movement and ultimately on groundwater contamination at Cape Cod.

1976- Soil survey party leader, USDA Soil Conservation Service, Bellingham, WA. Supervised up to eight 1986 employees and performed soil correlation, mapping, and interpretation of soils for woodland,

agricultural, and urban uses. Mapped soils and correlated them with timber productivity and land

use in Klickitat and Skamania counties, WA.

Teaching part-time at Western Washington University: Soils and Soil Surveys.

Research: clay mineralogy, classification, soil variability, historical soil geography, geomorphic

surfaces, soil genesis, and soil moisture regimes.
